Oldies, But Goodies

Hi there PORC fans.

I've been neck deep in life lately but wanted to offer a few little tidbits.

The next couple weeks will entail several long days of trim work.  I don't ordinarily do "finish carpentry" however my client has asked that I do it.  We've created a wonderful relationship, and knowing that he trusts me enough and insists that I do this work is such pat on the back.  Yesterday after 26 trips up 4 flights of stairs, I got all of the 12'-14' long Douglas Fir millwork into the condo.  I'll shoot some pictures to share some of the journey.

The summer is shaping up nicely with a handful of furniture jobs, a couple kitchens, and some miscilanious cabinet work.  In theory I will have also time for some friends, family, BBQ and wonderful Oregon summers, but we'll just have to see.

I was flipping through some of my old photos and thought I would share a few of them.

Amazing home bar.
Cherry built in.
whimsical computer desk.

Fir, Maple and Walnut.  Oregon staples.

No, this maple burl did not grow this color.
As always... Thanks for reading!

  1. Cool photos - some very nice work. I thought BBQ was just a Southern thing :). I love food. Sounds like you will be very busy.

In the first photo - very nice table top. What is the wood?

    Other photos just as cool.

  2. Thanks Jeff.

I LOVE to eat, and BBQ is just one of my many loves.

The first photo has a piece of of Big Leaf Maple as the top. That's how our maple grows out here in the NW. :)

"Other photos, just as cool" I'll take it! Cool is good in my book.

    Thanks for reading!!!!
